This is a colour we directly matched from a screen-used ANH Death Star Tile. The 2 primary colours used have been added to our colour inventory. It appears that most of the tiles made by ILM were covered in the primer as their main colour, a light Grey. AX-033 ILM DS Surface Grey 30ml Acrylic Paint makes for a great colour when building Death Star tile bases for your models. We believe it was a primer, its use across the Star Wars films is highly likely and also the colour we choose for base coating Slave 1 before the Weyerhaeuser Green and Dark Grime Layers are added. In recent Weeks from a study of new reference we also believe this could be a contender for the ESB AT-AT base colour.
To be thinned with Archive-X AX-ATR thinner for airbrush use. Ratio's vary from colour to colour with an average of 70/30 paint to thinner.
